Sunday June 6th 2pm Coots Lake Silver Comet Trail Trailhead.
Please arrive earlier, I'd like to roll close to the posted time.
Join the the Brushy Mtn Tunnel Broom & Shovel Brigade.
Bring your push broom (stiff nylon, not dust brooms) or squeegee. Flat-nose shovel to shovel the mud and/or 5 gal bucket to haul the mud. Figure we will need at least 6-8 broomers to create a moving wall of water/mud (slurry) and drive it out the west tunnel entrance.
Mr Ashley, the Coots Trail Ranger has offered to help and should be able to bring gear up to the Polk line. If there's a problem I can make multi-trips with my bike trailer.
Figure we will need:
at least 6-8 broomers to keep the wall of water moving down the tunnel.
at least 4 mud shovelers, two bucket movers, me+trailer to move the bucket, bucket dumper somewhere down trail.
2 people to assist in traffic control at tunnel entrance.
1-2 people with camera/vids to share the experience with the world.
2 people to manage drink/snack.
other TBD tasks. (your suggestions appreciated).
TomA/Hollywood to supervise. Public relations and entertainment.
Please sign-up here and/or post your participation and enthusiasm below.
